In Memory of
Dr. Hans Nieper

His last words to his wife at 2 in the morning: "Wake Daniel up and call an ambulance."

He was dead shortly thereafter.

Dr. Hans A. Nieper of Hannover, one of the most famous cancer specialists in the world, died at the age of 70 of his second heart attack.

Dr. Nieper's patients included many world stars, royalty and politicians: Anthony Quinn, John Wayne, Yul Brynner, William Holden and Princess Caroline of Monaco. He advised the ailing ex-president Ronald Reagan. But more importantly, he treated thousands of everyday people like you and me. Nancy Sinatra lavished praise on this great German physician: "He is a fabulous person, a recognized scientist, a marvelous doctor." His patients both loved and respected him.

For all of them, Dr. Nieper was an almost miraculous healer, the "Paracelsus Clinic, on the Silbersee", his practice on the Sedanstrasse in Hannover, Germany, a Mecca of justified hope.

This great cancer physician developed special diets and a number of his own cancer medications, such as the pineapple enzyme "Anavit".

One of his most important precepts was: "Cancer cannot be treated as a local disease. Cancer infests the entire body; therefore, the entire body must be strengthened."

He was co-founder of the German Oncological Society (cancer research). He was to have been honored for his life's work.

But the stress of his unrelenting fight against cancer had weakened his heart.

"He had symptoms for the past ten days, but he didn't want to go to a clinic to look after his own health. Instead he went to his practice, cared for his patients, even drove to a conference in Zurich," reported Helga, his wife of 23 years.

She rode in the ambulance along with son Daniel (21), gently pressing her dying husband's hand.
